Reciting Verses During Fajr Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite certain verses of the Quran in the first and second Rak'ah of Fajr prayer.

Ibn Abbad narrated that: The Messenger of Allah used to recite in teh first rak'ah of Fajr "Say: We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us" to the end verse, and in the second rak'ah, "We believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims".
أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ فِي الأُولَى مِنْهُمَا الآيَةَ الَّتِي فِي الْبَقَرَةِ ‏{‏ قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا ‏}‏ إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ وَفِي الأُخْرَى ‏{‏ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ

This hadith is about the importance of reciting verses from the Quran during prayer. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to recite certain verses from Surah Al-Ikhlas and Surah Al-Falaq in his morning prayers. By reciting these two surahs, we are reminded of Allah's greatness and power, which helps us stay focused on Him during our prayers.
