How Revelation Comes to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explaining how revelation comes to him, which is like the ringing of a bell and sometimes in the form of a man.

It was narrated that Aishah said: "Al-Harith bin Hisham asked the Messenger of Allah : 'How does the Revelation come to you?' He said: 'Like the ringing of a bell, and when it departs I remember what he (the Angel) said, and this is the hardest on me. And sometimes he (the Angel) comes to me in the form of a man and gives it to me'."

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how revelation came to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by Aishah that Al-Harith bin Hisham asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ how does revelation come to him. The Prophet ﷺ replied that it comes like the ringing of a bell and when it departs he remembers what was said by the angel. He also mentioned that sometimes an angel appears in human form and gives him revelation. This hadith teaches us about patience and perseverance as well as faith in Allah's words because even though it was difficult for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ he still accepted it with patience and faith. It also teaches us about trustworthiness because even though we cannot see angels or hear their voices we can still trust them as they are messengers from Allah who bring His words to us through His prophets such as Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .
