Sunan an-Nasai 917 (Book 11, Hadith 42) #15525
Reciting During Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ noticed a man reciting a verse during his prayer and asked who it was. When the man admitted to it, the Prophet ﷺ commented that he realized some of them were disputing with him over it.

It was narrated that Imran bin Hussain said: "The Prophet prayed Zuhr and a man behind him recited: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High. When he had finished praying, he said: 'Who recited: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High?" A man said: 'I did'. He said: 'I realized that some of you were disputing with me over it'".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect those leading prayers & Be mindful of your actions when in prayer so as not to disturb others around you

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about reciting during prayer. It was narrated by Imran bin Hussain that the Prophet noticed someone reciting a verse while he was praying Zuhr and asked who it was. When the man admitted to it, the Prophet commented that he realized some of them were disputing with him over it. This hadith teaches us that we should not dispute or argue while in prayer as this can be distracting from our focus on Allah and His words. We should also be mindful of our actions when in prayer so as not to disturb others around us or take away from their concentration on Allah's words either. Additionally, this hadith shows us how important respect is for those leading prayers and how we should always show respect for their authority even if we disagree with something they do or say during prayers.

The values taught in this hadith are respect, mindfulness, concentration, and humility towards those leading prayers.
