Praising Allah in Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Anas praying with the Prophet, Abu Bakr and Umar, and they started their prayer by praising Allah.

It was narrated from Anas: "I prayed with the Prophet and with Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and they started with "All the praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists".
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ - رضى الله عنهما - فَافْتَتَحُوا بِـ ‏{‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of praising Allah in prayer. It was narrated by Anas that he prayed with the Prophet Muhammad, Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them all. They began their prayer by saying "All the praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists". This phrase is a reminder to us that we should always remember to thank and praise God for His blessings before we start our prayers. We should also remember to make supplications during our prayers as well as worshiping Him through our actions throughout our day-to-day lives.
