The Prescribed Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that when the call to prayer is made, there is no other prayer except the prescribed one.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah aid: 'When the Iqamah for prayer is said, there is no prayer except the prescribed prayer"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform prescribed prayers when called upon .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when the call to prayer is made, it is obligatory for Muslims to perform the prescribed prayer. This means that we must stop whatever we are doing and make our way towards the mosque or wherever we are praying in order to fulfill this obligation. It also teaches us about discipline and punctuality as it encourages us to be on time for prayers so that we can benefit from them spiritually and physically. Furthermore, it reminds us of our duty as Muslims which is to worship Allah alone and follow His commands without hesitation or delay.
