Sunan an-Nasai 848 (Book 10, Hadith 72) #15456
The Seriousness of Attending Isha' Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was so angry at the people who were not attending Isha' prayer that he almost ordered to burn their houses down.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! I nearly ordered that firewood be gathered to be lit, then I would have ordered that the Adhan be called for prayer, and ordered a man to lead the people in prayer, then I would have gone from behind to those men and burned their houses down over them. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If any one of them knew that he would get a meaty bone or some meat in between two ribs, he would attend Isha''.'

QUICK LESSONS:
Attend Isha' Prayer regularly and on time

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of attending Isha’ prayer, which is one of the five daily prayers in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was so angry at those who did not attend this prayer that he almost ordered to burn their houses down. He wanted to emphasize how serious it is for Muslims to attend this prayer and how much reward they will get if they do so. He said that if anyone knew they would get a meaty bone or some meat in between two ribs, they would definitely attend Isha’ prayer. This shows us how important it is for us as Muslims to fulfill our obligations and perform our prayers regularly and on time, as Allah has commanded us to do so in order for us to be successful in this life and the hereafter.
