Straightening Rows for Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed his followers to make sure their rows were straight and filled in when they prayed.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah turned to face us when he stood up to pray, before he said Takbir, and said: 'Make your rows straight and fill the gaps, for I can see you from behind my back"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Make sure your rows are straight when you pray .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known for his attention to detail and this hadith is a perfect example of that. He instructed his followers to make sure their rows were straight and filled in when they prayed. This was so that he could see them from behind while leading the prayer. This hadith teaches us the importance of being organized and orderly in our worship of Allah SWT. It also shows us how much care the Prophet Muhammad took with regards to ensuring that all those who followed him were able to benefit from his teachings as much as possible. We should strive to emulate this attitude in our own lives by taking care with how we organize ourselves and our activities so that we can maximize our potential for success both spiritually and materially.
