Sunan an-Nasai 811 (Book 10, Hadith 35) #15419
Keeping Rows Straight in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to keep their rows straight and orderly when praying, so that they do not develop animosity towards one another. He also said that Allah and His angels send blessings upon the front rows.

It was narrated that Al-Bara bin Azib said: "The Messenger of Allah used to go between the rows from one side to another, patting our shoulders and chests and saying: 'Do not make your rows ragged or your hearts will be filled with enmity toward one another'. And he used to say: 'Allah and His angels send Salah upon the front rows"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Keep your lines neat and orderly while praying

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of keeping our rows straight when we pray. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that if we don't keep our rows straight, it can lead to animosity between us. He also said that Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who are in the front row of prayer. This teaches us to be mindful of how we line up for prayer, as it can have an effect on our relationship with each other and with Allah SWT. We should strive to maintain a sense of unity during prayer by keeping our lines neat and orderly, so that we may receive the blessings from Allah SWT for doing so.
