Performing Tawaf Around Kaaba

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed Tawaf around the Kaaba seven times and then prayed two Rak'ahs at the edge of the Maqam.

Narrated Kathir bin Kathir: It was narrated from Kathir bin Kathir, from his father, that his grandfather said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah circumambulate the House seven times, then he prayed two Rak'ahs at the edge of the Maqam, and there was nothing between him and the people who were performing Tawaf".
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِحِذَائِهِ فِي حَاشِيَةِ الْمَقَامِ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الطُّوَّافِ أَحَدٌ

This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad PBUH performed a ritual called Tawaf around the Kaaba seven times and then prayed two Rak'ahs at the edge of a place called Maqam. The ritual of circumambulating or performing Tawaf around the Kaaba is an important part of Hajj, which is one of Islam's five pillars. It symbolizes unity with Allah and His creation by walking in circles around His House. After completing this ritual, Prophet Muhammad PBUH prayed two Rak’ahs at the edge of a place called Maqam which was located near to where he was performing tawaf. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember to pray to Allah after completing any good deed or task that we do in our lives as it will bring us closer to Him and increase our faith in Him.
