Spitting Etiquette During Prayer

SUMMARY: When praying, one should not spit in front or to the right, but rather behind them or to the left if no one is present.

It was narrated that Tariq bin 'Abdullah Al-Muharibi said: 'When you are praying, do not spit to the front or to your right. Spit behind you or to your left if there is no one there, otherwise do this'. And he spat beneath his foot and rubbed it'."

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the etiquette of spitting while praying. It is narrated by Tariq bin 'Abdullah Al-Muharibi that when we are in prayer, we should not spit in front of us or to our right side. Instead, we should spit behind us or to our left side if there is no one present. He then demonstrated this by spitting beneath his foot and rubbing it into the ground. This hadith teaches us that even during prayer, we must be mindful of our manners and respect those around us by avoiding any actions which may be considered rude or offensive. We must also remember that Allah is always watching over us and will judge our actions accordingly.
