Sunan an-Nasai 724 (Book 8, Hadith 37) #15332
Praying with Respect

SUMMARY: When praying, one should not spit in front of them as Allah is in front of them.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah saw some sputum on the Qiblah wall. He scrapped it off then he turned to the people and said: "When any one of you is praying, let him not spit in front of him, for Allah is in front of him when he prays".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect while praying
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar tells us that when we are praying, we should be respectful and not spit in front of us. This is because Allah is present when we are praying and it would be disrespectful to spit in His presence. We should also remember that Allah is always watching us and our actions, so it's important to show respect even when no one else can see us. We must also remember that prayer is a time for reflection and contemplation, so it's important to keep our minds focused on the task at hand instead of being distracted by other things like spitting or talking. By following these teachings, we can ensure that our prayers are meaningful and sincere.
