Sunan an-Nasai 680 (Book 7, Hadith 55) #15288
The Intercession of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: This hadith tells us that if we recite a certain supplication when we hear the call to prayer, Allah will grant us the intercession of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated that Jabir said: "The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said: 'Whoever says, when he hears the call to prayer: "Allahumma rabba hadhihid-da'wat it-tammah was-salat il-qaimah, ati Muahmmadan al-wasilah wal-fadilah, wab'athu maqaman mahmudan alladhi wa'adtahu (O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer to be offered, grant Muhammad the privilege (of interceding) and also the eminence, and resurrect him to the praised position that you have promised),' will be granted my intercession on the Day of Resurrection".

QUICK LESSONS:
Make dua or supplications in our daily lives with respect for Prophet Muhammed's status as an intercessor on Judgment day .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about a special supplication that can be recited when one hears the call to prayer. It is narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that whoever says this supplication will be granted his intercession on the Day of Resurrection. The supplication is as follows; “O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and the prayer to be offered, grant Muhammad privilege and eminence and resurrect him to the praised position which you have promised”. This hadith teaches us about how important it is for Muslims to make dua or supplications in their daily lives as it can bring them closer to Allah and also increase their chances for being granted intercessions from Prophet Muhammad on Judgment day.
