Praying Maghrib and 'Isha' with One Adhan

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) prayed Maghrib and 'Isha' with one Adhan and two Iqamah, without offering any prayer in between them.

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) moved until he came to Al-Muzdalifah, where he prayed Maghrib and 'Isha' with one Adhan and two Iqamah, and he did not offer any prayer in between them".
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ دَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَصَلَّى بِهَا الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ بِأَذَانٍ وَإِقَامَتَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of praying Maghrib and 'Isha' with one call to prayer, known as an adhan, and two calls to begin the prayer, known as an iqamahs. He did not offer any other prayers in between these two prayers. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our time when it comes to performing religious duties such as prayer, so that we can make the most out of our day while still fulfilling our obligations to Allah. It also shows us how important it is for us to follow the example set by the Prophet Muhammad in all aspects of life, including religious practices such as prayer.
