Sunan an-Nasai 620 (Book 6, Hadith 127) #15228
The Importance of Praying When Remembered

SUMMARY: Allah has commanded us to perform prayer when we remember it, even if we forget it.

It was narrated from Ma'mar, from Az-Zuhri, from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, for Allah says: "and perform prayer when you remember (li dhikra)'." I said to Az-Zuhri: "Is that how the Messenger of Allah recited it?" He said: "Yes".

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform prayers when remembered .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam. It was narrated by Ma'mar from Az-Zuhri from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab that Abu Hurairah said that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that whoever forgets a prayer should pray it when they remember it because Allah says in the Quran “and perform prayer when you remember”. This hadith teaches us that even if we forget to pray, we should still make an effort to do so as soon as possible because Allah has commanded us to do so. We must also strive to be mindful and conscious of our prayers so that we don't forget them in the first place.
