Making Up Missed Prayers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that if a person forgets or misses their prayer, they should pray it when they remember.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah was asked about a man who slept and missed the prayer, or forgot it. He said: 'The expiation for that is to pray it when he remembers it'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Make up missed prayers as soon as possible

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik teaches us the importance of prayer in Islam. It is a fundamental part of our faith and is one of the five pillars of Islam. If we forget to pray or miss it for any reason, we must make up for it as soon as possible. The Prophet Muhammad taught us that the expiation for missing a prayer is to pray it when we remember it. This shows us how important prayer is in our lives and how much Allah values our prayers and worship. We should strive to never miss a prayer and always make up for any missed prayers as soon as possible so that we can stay connected with Allah through this act of worship.
