QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for consistency and devotion in prayers . Follow the example set by our beloved prophet .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of praying eight or seven rak’ahs in a single prayer. A rak’ah is one unit of prayer and Muslims usually pray five times a day with each prayer consisting of two to four rak’ahs. However, this hadith shows that the Prophet sometimes prayed more than four rak’ahs at once. This teaches us that we should strive to be consistent and devoted to our prayers and not just do them out of habit but with full concentration and devotion. We should also remember that it was the practice of our beloved prophet to pray more than what is required so we should try to follow his example as much as possible.
