Praying in Al-Madinah

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ prayed in Al-Madinah with eight people and seven people, and he delayed Zuhr and brought 'Asr forward, as well as delaying Maghrib and bringing 'Isha' forward.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "I prayed with the Prophet in Al-Madinah, eight together and seven together. He delayed Zuhr and brought 'Asr forward, and he delayed Maghrib and brought 'Isha' forward".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your prayers; take your time to properly perform them according to their prescribed times; be productive during the day; take some time for rest at night so you can be refreshed for tomorrow's activities.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet's practice of praying in Al-Madinah. He would pray with eight people or seven people at a time, and he would delay Zuhr prayer until later in the day while bringing 'Asr prayer forward. Similarly, he would delay Maghrib prayer until later while bringing 'Isha' prayer forward. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our prayers and not rush them; we should take our time to properly perform them according to their prescribed times. We should also be mindful of how we spend our days by making sure that we are productive during the day but also taking some time for rest at night so that we can be refreshed for the next day's activities.
