Prohibited Times for Praying and Burying Dead

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) forbade praying or burying the dead during three specific times of the day.

It was narrated that Musa bin 'Ali bin Rabah said: "I heard my father say: 'I heard 'Uqbah bin 'Amir Al-Juhani say: There are three times during which the Messenger of Allah forbade us to pray in or bury our dead: When the sun has clearly stated to rise, until it is fully risen; when it is directly overhead at noon, until it has passed its zenith; and when it is close to setting, until it has fully set'."

This hadith is about a prohibition that was given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ regarding prayer and burial. He forbade these activities during three specific times of the day; when the sun has just started to rise, when it is directly overhead at noon, and when it is close to setting. This means that people should not pray or bury their dead during these times as they are considered sacred moments in Islam. It teaches us to be mindful of our actions and respect certain moments in time as they are important for spiritual growth.
