Sunan an-Nasai 485 (Book 5, Hadith 38) #15093
Angels Meeting at Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the angels coming to us in succession by night and day, and meeting at Fajr and 'Asr prayer. Allah will ask them how they left His slaves, to which they will reply that they left them while praying and came back to them while praying.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Angels come to you in succession by night and day, and they meet at Fajr prayer and 'Asr prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and He (Allah) will ask them, although He knows best: 'In what condition did you leave My slaves'. They will say: 'We left them when they were praying and we came to them when they were praying'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly according to Islamic teachings. Show devotion towards God through your prayers. Have faith in God's mercy upon you even if you make mistakes or forget your prayers sometimes .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of prayer in Islam. It tells us that angels come to us in succession by night and day, meeting at Fajr prayer and 'Asr prayer. Allah then asks the angels how His slaves were when they left them, to which the angels reply that they were praying when they left them as well as when they returned. This shows us how important it is for Muslims to pray regularly; it is a sign of devotion towards Allah that He notices even from afar through His angels. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about God's mercy; He knows best what condition we are in but still asks his angels out of love for his creations so that he can be sure we are doing our best with our worship towards Him.
