Sunan an-Nasai 478 (Book 5, Hadith 31) #15086
The Seriousness of Missing 'Asr Prayer

SUMMARY: Missing the 'Asr prayer is like being robbed of one's family and wealth.

'Irak bin Malik narrated that Nawfal bin Mu'awiyah told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: "Whoever misses 'Asr prayer, it is as if he has been robbed of his family and wealth"'.Irak said: 'And 'Abdullah bin 'Umar informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah saying: 'Whosoever misses 'Asr prayer, it is as if he has been robbed of his family and wealth'." Yazid bin Abi Habib contradicted him. 1 1 That is, contradicted Ja'far bin Rabi'ah who narrated it from Irak here - and Yazid's narration is next.
