The Importance of Salatul-Wusta

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ warned against neglecting the middle prayer until the sun goes down.

It was narrated from 'Ali that the Prophet said: "They distracted us from Salatul-Wusta (the middle prayer) until the sun went down".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، - رضى الله عنه - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ
