Applying Perfume Before Entering Ihram

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would apply perfume and visit his wives before entering Ihram in the morning.

'Aishah said: "I used to put perfume on the Messenger of Allah and he would go around to all his wives, then enter Ihram in the morning with the smell of perfume coming from him".
أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ بِشْرٍ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَيَطُوفُ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ مُحْرِمًا يَنْضَخُ طِيبًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrated by 'Aishah tells us that the Prophet Muhammad used to put on perfume before visiting his wives and then enter into a state of Ihram in the morning. This shows us that even though he was a prophet, he still enjoyed wearing nice things like perfume and spending time with his family. It also teaches us that we should take care of our appearance and be mindful of our actions when entering into a state of worship or prayer. We should also remember to spend quality time with our families as it is important for building strong relationships.
