Wudu' and Ghusl from Janabah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed Wudu' as for prayer, but did not wash his feet, and he washed his private part and whatever had got onto it, then he poured water over himself, then he moved his feet and washed them. This is Ghusl from Janabah.

It was narrated that Maimunah said: "The Messenger of Allah performed Wudu' as for prayer, but did not wash his feet, and he washed his private part and whatever had got onto it, then he poured water over himself, then he moved his feet and washed them". She said: "This is Ghusl from Janabah".

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform wudu’ properly before praying .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of performing ablution or wudu’ before prayer. It was narrated by Maimunah that the Prophet Muhammad performed wudu’ as for prayer but did not wash his feet. He washed his private part and whatever had gotten onto it then poured water over himself before moving his feet to wash them. She said this is a ritual bath or ghusl from janabah which is a state of impurity caused by sexual intercourse or wet dream. It teaches us that we should perform wudu’ properly in order to be able to pray with purity and cleanliness in front of Allah SWT.
