Be mindful and respectful when discussing matters related to the Prophet Muhammad's personal life or habits; Follow Islamic rituals and laws correctly; Perform either Ghusl or Wudu’ before going to sleep if you are in a state of ritual impurity;

This hadith discusses the sleeping habits of the Prophet Muhammad when he was in a state of ritual impurity. According to 'Aishah, sometimes he would perform Ghusl before sleeping and other times he would perform Wudu' before sleeping. This shows that it is permissible to sleep without performing either one as long as one is in a state of ritual impurity.
