Performing Ghusl and Talbiyah After Childbirth

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed Abu Bakr to tell Asma bint Umais to perform Ghusl and begin the Talbiyah after she gave birth at Dhul-Hulaifah.

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah concerning Asma' bint Umais that when she gave birth at Dhul-Hulaifah, the Messenger of Allah said to Abu Bakr: "Tell her to perform Ghusl and (begin the Talbiyah)".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، فِي حَدِيثِ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ حِينَ نُفِسَتْ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ ‏ "‏ مُرْهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ وَتُهِلَّ
