Sunan an-Nasai 282 (Book 1, Hadith 283) #14889
Eating and Drinking Together Despite Menstruation

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) drinking and eating from the same utensils as 'Aishah, even when she was menstruating.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I would drink while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet , and he would put his mouth where mine had been and drink. And I would nibble at the bone on which some bits of meat were left while I was menstruating, then I would give it to the Prophet and he would put his mouth where my mouth had been".

QUICK LESSONS:
Treat everyone with kindness and respect regardless of their physical or mental states; Be considerate towards others by not making them feel uncomfortable due to our own beliefs or opinions.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of companionship and respect between people, regardless of any differences they may have. It shows that despite 'Aishah being in a state of menstruation, which is considered impure in Islam, the Prophet Muhammad still respected her enough to drink from the same utensil as her. This teaches us that we should not judge or discriminate against anyone based on their physical or mental states; rather we should treat everyone with kindness and respect. Furthermore, it also shows us how important it is to be considerate towards others by not making them feel uncomfortable due to our own beliefs or opinions.
