EXPLANATIONS:
When performing the ritual of Ghusl, which is a full body wash, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would first perform wudu', which is a partial body wash. He would then run his fingers through all of his hair on his head to ensure that it was completely wet. Finally, he would pour water over himself until every part of him was covered in water. This hadith teaches us that we should take care to ensure that we are properly washing ourselves when performing any kind of ablution or ritual bath. It also teaches us to be thorough and pay attention to detail when doing so in order for it to be accepted by Allah SWT.
