Respectful Prostration

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his wife Aisha, and how she would move her foot out of the way when he was prostrating.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I remember lying in front of the Messenger of Allah , and the Messenger of Allah was praying. When he wanted to prostrate he would nudge my foot and I would draw it up (out of the way) until he had finished prostrating".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect during prayer and be mindful of your actions around those who are praying so as not to disrupt their concentration or focus on their prayers .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the respect that should be shown during prayer. It was narrated by Aisha, who said that when she was lying in front of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while he was praying, he would nudge her foot to let her know to move it out of the way so that he could prostrate. This shows us how important it is to show respect during prayer and not do anything that might distract or disturb others while they are praying. We should also be mindful of our actions around those who are praying so as not to disrupt their concentration or focus on their prayers.
