Follow instructions precisely when performing ablution/wudu'.

This hadith teaches us about the correct way of performing ablution or wudu'. It was narrated by 'Amr bin Shu'aib from his father who heard it from his grandfather. According to this hadith, a Bedouin came to the Prophet and asked him about wudu'. The Prophet showed him how to perform it correctly by washing each part three times and then said “This is wudu’”. He also emphasized that whoever does more than what he has shown has done badly, done to extremes and done wrong. This hadith teaches us that we should not go beyond what is prescribed in religious matters as it can lead us astray and make our actions invalid. We should always strive for moderation in all aspects of life so as not to fall into extremes or do something wrong unintentionally.
