EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Bilal tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to wipe over his leather socks. This is a practice known as masah in Arabic and it is done when performing wudu or ablution. It is important to note that this practice only applies to leather socks and not any other type of footwear. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our religious obligations even when it comes to small details such as wearing appropriate footwear for prayer. We should also strive to follow the example set by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
