Forbidden to Eat Donkey Flesh

SUMMARY: Eating the flesh of domestic donkeys is forbidden by Allah and His Messenger.

It was narrated that Anas said: "An announcer came to us from the Messenger of Allah and said: 'Allah and His Messenger forbid you from (eating) the flesh of domestic donkeys, for it is filth'."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أَتَانَا مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ فَإِنَّهَا رِجْسٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith was narrated by Anas ibn Malik, who said that an announcer came from the Messenger of Allah and said that Allah and His Messenger forbid eating the flesh of domestic donkeys. This hadith teaches us that it is forbidden to eat the flesh of domestic donkeys as it is considered filth. It also shows us how important it is to follow what Allah and His Messenger have commanded us, as they know what is best for us in this life and in the hereafter. We should always strive to obey their commands so we can be rewarded in both worlds.
