Sunan an-Nasai 53 (Book 1, Hadith 53) #14659
Patience & Tolerance in the Masjid

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to be tolerant and patient when someone does something wrong, and to not interrupt them.

It was narrated from Anas that a Bedouin urinated in the Masjid, and some of the people went after him, but the Messenger of Allah said: "Leave him and do not restrain him". When he had finished he called for a bucket (of water) and poured it over it. 1 Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: "Meaning: 'Do not interrupt him'." 1The author will cite this narration again in #330 as a possible proof for setting the minimum, since it mentions "a bucket" as if this is the minimum amount required.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be patient with others even if they do something wrong; forgive others as Allah forgives us; remember Allah's mercy upon us all; show kindness towards those who make mistakes; pour water over any mess made by mistake in a masjid .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of patience and tolerance in a masjid. It was narrated from Anas that a Bedouin urinated in the masjid and some people wanted to stop him but the Prophet Muhammad said "Leave him and do not restrain him". After he finished urinating he called for a bucket of water and poured it over it. This teaches us that even if someone does something wrong we should still be patient with them instead of getting angry or trying to stop them. We should also remember that Allah is forgiving so we should forgive others too.
