Sunan an-Nasai 36 (Book 1, Hadith 36) #14642
Avoiding Devilish Whispers Through Bathing Habits

SUMMARY: It is not permissible to urinate in the same place where one takes a bath, as this can lead to devilish whispers.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet said: "None of you should urinate in the place where he bathes, for most Waswas (devilish whispers) 1 come from that". 1 I.e., with regard to whether the urine has soiled his body or not.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your habits and actions while taking a bath; strive for righteousness; protect yourself from negative influences.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is important to be mindful of our habits and actions, even when it comes to something as simple as taking a bath. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned us against urinating in the same place we take a bath, because this can lead to devilish whispers. These whispers are thoughts that come from Shaytan and try to make us do things that are wrong or sinful. By avoiding such behavior, we can protect ourselves from these negative influences and stay on the right path. We should also remember that Allah knows all of our actions and intentions, so it is important for us to always strive for righteousness in everything we do.
