The Importance of the Siwak

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) wanted to make it mandatory for Muslims to use the Siwak before every prayer, but he realized that it would be too difficult for them.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Were it not that it would be too difficult for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the Siwak at (the time of) every Salah".
