Poverty of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away in a state of poverty, with only two items available to eat - water and dates.

'A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger had died in a state that they could afford to eat two things only: water and dates.
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ صَفِيَّةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَقَدْ شَبِعْنَا مِنَ الأَسْوَدَيْنِ الْمَاءِ وَالتَّمْرِ

This hadith speaks about the poverty of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is reported by 'A'isha that when he passed away, there were only two items available for him to eat - water and dates.
