Origin of Angels, Jinns and Adam

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the origin of Angels, Jinns and Adam.

'A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger said: The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you (i. e. he is fashioned out of clay).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ عَبْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ خُلِقَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ مِنْ نُورٍ وَخُلِقَ الْجَانُّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ وَخُلِقَ آدَمُ مِمَّا وُصِفَ لَكُمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the origin of three important creations in Islam; Angels, Jinns and humans. According to this hadith, Angels were created from light while Jinns were created from a spark of fire. Lastly, humans were created from clay as mentioned in the Quran. This hadith teaches us that all creations are unique and have different origins but they are all equally important in the eyes of Allah SWT. It also reminds us to be humble as we are made out of clay while other creations have more noble origins than ours.
