The Coming of Dajjal

SUMMARY: The hadith speaks of the coming of Dajjal and how it will bring out hypocrites from the city.

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Anas that Allah's Messenger said this but with this addition that (the Dajjal would come) and pitch his tent in the waste-land of Juruf and thus there would come out of (the city) every hypocrite, man and woman.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to stay true to your faith even if it is difficult or unpopular.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the coming of a figure known as the Dajjal, who is believed to be an evil figure in Islamic tradition. According to this hadith, when he arrives, he will pitch his tent in a wasteland called Juruf and this will cause all hypocrites - both men and women - to come out from the city. This suggests that people who are not true believers in Allah's teachings may try to hide their beliefs but when faced with a great challenge like the arrival of Dajjal, they will be revealed for what they truly are. This teaches us that we should always strive to stay true to our faith even if it is difficult or unpopular. We should also remember that Allah knows our hearts better than anyone else and He can see through any facade we put up.
