SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) commanded that every Muslim, regardless of age, gender or social status, must pay a certain amount of dates or barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr before the Eid prayer.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Messenger enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the 'Id prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx)

QUICK LESSONS:
Paying Zakat - ul - Fitr before the Eid prayer

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ commanded that every Muslim must pay a certain amount of dates or barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr before the Eid prayer. This is an obligation for all Muslims and it is done to help those in need and to show gratitude for Allah's blessings. It is important to remember that this donation should be given with sincerity and not out of obligation. It should also be given with humility and kindness so that it can bring joy to those who receive it. Furthermore, this act of charity serves as a reminder for us to always think about others in our lives and how we can help them in any way possible.
