The Coming of al-Jahjah

SUMMARY: A man named al-Jahjah will occupy a throne before the day and night come to an end.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The day and the night would not come to an end before a man called al-Jahjah would occupy the throne.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ تَذْهَبُ الأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْجَهْجَاهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ هُمْ أَرْبَعَةُ إِخْوَةٍ شَرِيكٌ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ وَعُمَيْرٌ وَعَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man named al-Jahjah who will occupy a throne before the day and night come to an end. This hadith was narrated by Abu Huraira, one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is not known when this event will take place, but it is believed that it will happen at some point in time. The main idea behind this hadith is that no matter how long or short our lives may be, there are certain events that are predetermined by Allah and they must take place in due course. We should always remember that Allah knows best and He has control over all things. We should also strive to live our lives according to His commands so that we can be rewarded for our good deeds in the hereafter.
