Praying for Blessings from Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) would pray for the blessings of Allah upon those who gave alms, and specifically prayed for the offspring of Abu Aufa.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abu Aufa : Whenever a person came to the Prophet with his alms, the Prophet would say, "O Allah! Send your Blessings upon so and so". My father went to the Prophet with his alms and the Prophet said, "O Allah! Send your blessings upon the offspring of Abu Aufa".
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ إِذَا أَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ بِصَدَقَتِهِمْ قَالَ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى آلِ فُلاَنٍ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَأَتَاهُ أَبِي بِصَدَقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى آلِ أَبِي أَوْفَى

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of giving alms and how it is rewarded by Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known to pray for those who gave alms, asking that they be blessed by Allah. In this particular instance, he specifically prayed that the offspring of Abu Aufa be blessed by Allah. This hadith teaches us that when we give charity or do good deeds, we should expect a reward from God in return. It also shows us how important it is to ask God to bless others in our prayers as well as ourselves.
