Warning Against Taking From Unauthorized Sources

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned against taking anything from a mountain of gold that will soon be uncovered by the Euphrates river.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The Euphrates would soon uncover a mountain of gold but he who is present there should not take anything from that.
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ يُوشِكُ الْفُرَاتُ أَنْ يَحْسِرَ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَمَنْ حَضَرَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا

This hadith is about the importance of staying away from sources that are not authorized or permitted by Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned against taking anything from a mountain of gold that will soon be uncovered by the Euphrates river. This hadith teaches us to stay away from any source or activity which is forbidden in Islam, even if it may seem attractive and beneficial at first glance. We should always remember to seek permission and guidance from Allah before engaging in any activity, as He knows what is best for us and our faith.
