Sahih Muslim 2864 (Book 53, Hadith 75) #14259
Judgement Day and Perspiration

SUMMARY: On the Day of Resurrection, people will be judged according to their deeds and submerged in perspiration.

Miqdad b. Aswad reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there would be left only a distance of one mile. Sulaim b. Amir said: By Allah, I do not know whether he meant by" mile" the mile of the (material) earth or an instrument used for applying collyrium to the eye. (The Prophet is, however, reported to have said): The people would be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their. knees, Some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, Allah's Apostle pointed his hand towards his mouth.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds
EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Judgment or Qiyamah, all people will be judged according to their deeds or Amal. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that on this day the sun would draw so close to the people that there would only be a distance of one mile left between them. People will then be submerged in perspiration depending on how much good they have done in their lives; some up to their knees and some up to their waist. This is a reminder for us all that we should strive for good deeds as it is what we will ultimately be judged by on the Day of Judgment.
