Sahih Muslim 2830, 2831a (Book 53, Hadith 11) #14195
The Splendor of Paradise

SUMMARY: The hadith speaks of the beauty of Paradise and how its inhabitants will be able to see it from afar, just like one can see the planets in the sky.

Sahl b. Sa'd reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The inmates of Paradise will look to the upper apartment of Paradise as you see the planets in the sky. I narrated this hadith to Nu'man b. Abi 'Ayyash and he said: I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri as saying: As you see the shining planets in the eastern and western (sides of) horizon.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for righteousness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the beauty of Paradise, which is described as being so grand that its inhabitants will be able to view it from afar, just like one can see planets in the sky. It is said that those who are fortunate enough to enter into Paradise will have a view similar to looking at stars in both eastern and western horizons. This emphasizes how magnificent and awe-inspiring paradise truly is, as even those who are not there can still witness its splendor from a distance. Furthermore, this hadith serves as an encouragement for believers to strive for righteousness so they may be rewarded with entry into paradise on Judgment Day.
