Splitting of the Moon in Prophet Muhammad's Lifetime

SUMMARY: The moon was split up during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Ibn 'Abbas reported that the moon was split up during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him).
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ قُرَيْشٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُضَرَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ إِنَّ الْقَمَرَ انْشَقَّ عَلَى زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
During the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad, a miracle occurred where Allah split the moon into two halves. This event is known as ‘The Splitting of the Moon’ and is mentioned in several verses in the Quran. It serves as a reminder to all believers that Allah has power over all things and that He can do anything He wills. This event also shows us how much Allah loves His beloved prophet, for it was only through his prayers that this miracle could occur. Furthermore, it serves as an example to us on how we should strive to live our lives according to His teachings and commands so that we may receive His blessings and mercy.
