The Forgiveness of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah would have created a sinning people and forgiven them if it weren't for the sins of the existing people.

Abu Sirma reported that when the time of the death of Abu Ayyub Ansari drew near, he said: I used to conceal from you a thing which I heard from Allah's Messenger and I heard Allah's Messenger as saying: Had you not committed sins, Allah would have brought into existence a creation that would have committed sin (and Allah) would have forgiven them.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، - قَاصِّ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ - عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ كُنْتُ كَتَمْتُ عَنْكُمْ شَيْئًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ لَوْلاَ أَنَّكُمْ تُذْنِبُونَ لَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ خَلْقًا يُذْنِبُونَ يَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to us about the mercy and forgiveness of Allah. It tells us that even if we make mistakes or commit sins in our lives, Allah is still willing to forgive us. This hadith also reminds us that we should strive to do good deeds and avoid committing sins so that we can be worthy of His forgiveness. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us that no matter how much we sin or how bad our actions are, Allah is always willing to forgive those who sincerely repent and turn back to Him in repentance.
