Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying: The supplication of one of you is granted if he does not grow impatient and say- I supplicated my Lord but it was not granted.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that patience is a virtue when it comes to making du’as or supplications to Allah SWT. He said that if we do not grow impatient then our du’as will be answered by Him in His own time. This means that we must have faith in Him and trust Him even if it takes longer than expected for our du’as to be answered as He knows best what is good for us at any given time. Therefore, this hadith encourages us to remain patient with all of our du’as no matter how long they take as eventually they will be answered by Allah SWT according to His plan for us which is always the best plan for us even if we cannot see it right away.
