Protection from Evil Animals

SUMMARY: Uttering certain words before going to bed can protect one from the evil of every animal.

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger used to command us that as we go to our beds, we should utter the words (as mention- ed above) and he also said (these words): " From the evil of every animal, Thou hast hold upon its forelock (Thou bast full control over it)".
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، - يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَأْمُرُنَا إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضْجَعَنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Huraira and it talks about how one can be protected from the evil of every animal. Before going to bed, Allah's Messenger used to command us to utter certain words which would protect us from any harm that could come our way. He also said that Allah has full control over all animals and we should trust in Him for protection. This hadith teaches us that we should always put our trust in Allah for protection against any kind of harm or danger. It also encourages us to recite certain prayers before going to sleep so that we are safe even when we are asleep. We should remember this hadith whenever we go to bed so that we can be sure of our safety even when no one else is around us.
