EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about seeking forgiveness and mercy from Allah. It was narrated by Abu Bakr, who asked the Prophet Muhammad to teach him a supplication to recite in his prayer. The Prophet then instructed him to say "O Allah, I have done great wrong to myself". He then continued by saying that there is none who can forgive sins but God alone, so he should ask for pardon from Him and seek His mercy as He is much forgiving and compassionate. This hadith teaches us that we should always turn towards Allah in times of need, especially when we have wronged ourselves or others. We must ask for His forgiveness with sincerity and humility, knowing that only He can grant us true absolution. Furthermore, it also reminds us of the immense mercy of God which will always be available if we sincerely repent our sins.
