The Decrease of Knowledge

SUMMARY: Knowledge is important and will decrease as the Last Hour approaches.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger having said: The time would draw close to the Last Hour and knowledge would decrease. The rest of the hadith is the same.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِهِمَا
