This hadith warns us against disputing and arguing over religious matters, as it can lead to destruction. It is narrated by Abdullah b. 'Umar who went to Allah's Messenger in the morning and heard two people arguing about a verse from the Quran. When Allah's Apostle came, he was angry and said that people before them were ruined because of their disputes in the Book. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful when discussing religious matters, as it can cause division among people if done incorrectly or without proper knowledge or understanding of the faith.
